You have raised quite a few points so I won't answer them all because I don't want to bore you or others with an essay.

I noticed one point you made which I find astonishing.

Where do you make the same complaint about Bill being a prisoner of unelected Union back room men?

He is you know, one of his senior shadow minister is a red ranger whose brother is a very high CFMEU official.

Why else does Bill condone union corruption, violence and illegal behaviour?

At a time where a CEO from Coles complains bitterly as he makes a salary of over four million a year yet berates employees over their penalty rates entitlements. I find your comments erroneous to say the least Men in privileged positions frequently make salaries that are quite simply vulgar.

​I don't know if you have ever been o SE Asia but I go there often, In those countries they have sweat shops where poor people work long hours and are badly treated. Its a great shame they have no union to defend them.

​Unions no longer have the clout they used to have and while you and others may gloat about the demise of unions I look at a proud and impressive union history in this country. I also believe Australians will rue the day our unions are gone and multi nationals have absolute power. It will lead to fascism I don't believe you want that,

There has long been a a kind of association with Labor and the Union movement. Thats where the party started. It also gave this country great talents like Bob Hawke and several others.

Aloy your post was intelligent and not without merit indeed I find much merit. I actually agree with you on a few points I think the sacking of Rudd was the stupidest thing the ALP ever did.

I simply have absolutely no problem with unions.

I regret I may live to see a country without the union movement.

I am proud to be UNION.

I cannot see whats wrong with being a red ranger. Have not seen any of them since the fifties lol.

Please do not equate my antipathy toward certain Union power brokers as anti unionism.

 

These folks really let down the membership of good honest union members.

 

I am pro union - as long as they do their job of serving their members - there are many who do exactly that.

 

 

Regrettably Bill Shorten is not in that subgroup - he is firmly in the camp of the powerbrokers and backroom dealers.

 

Best example - he was instrumental in axing Rudd and then Gillard - both elected PM's in their own right.

 

Who could possibly imagine that he would change his spots if - heaven forbid he were ever elected PM himself.

 

The saving grace would be that the self same backroom schemers would axe him too if he ever stood up for Australians - union or otherwise.

My two grandfathers were coalminers, my father was a union delegate, I have been a union member. I don't like champagne.
