Turnbull's biggest threat will not be Bill Shorten it will be the right of his own party. 

Bernardi and the other Nazis are hungry to promote hate.

 While Bill Shorten has been improving he is not my first choice as I prefer  Albo. I would love Penny Wong or Tania but Australians hate women in leadership roles even if they are better than men. Besides the public are sick of leadership battles. I hope they stay with Bill...win or lose .

Turnbull has been a bitter disappointment. All the dreams of a Menzies style Liberal party have gone,He is just another Abbot (almost).

 

Bil dos not excite me but the alternative is too horrible. A Liberal term is scary.The deficit has blown up much more under the Liberals. The economy is stuffed. The great economic managers could not even get coins in or out of a kids money box. Under the worse treasurer (Hockey) in our history the great achievements of Gillard and Rudd have been shattered, Remember under Gillard we were (undeniably on this one folks) the top economy in the world look at us now. Maybe the Libs could get Swan to advise them.

Still neither Turnbull's Libs or Shorten are all that impressive. At least in USA the Democrats have two brilliant contenders in Hillary and Bernie. They also have a brilliant Presidents footsteps to follow. Obama will of down a Americas greatest post war President.

AS for the Republicans. Need I comment ?lol  THE GOP is dead.

Just a little Point to help you see the twist in your logic:


You complain that Turnbull is the prisoner of his party and that should not be.


Where do you make the same complaint about Bill being a prisoner of unelected Union back room men?


He is you know, one of his senior shadow minister is a red ranger whose brother is a very high CFMEU official.


Why else does Bill condone union corruption, violence and illegal behaviour?


Yep he's a prisoner alright poor lad - the pressure must be enormous, he has aged significantly since getting the leader role.


When you think about it, Bill was instrumental in axing Rudd, Gillard, Rudd. Now he is under huge pressure.
