Need A Place To Study On Public Holiday - Any Ideas? - ritek - 29-12-2011

Hello,

I have an exam coming up and need to study as much as possible. Unfortunately where I am staying lacks air conditioning and I can see that the temperature will be 35-38 on the 1st and 2nd of January. So I wanted to find a place to study during the day where there would be air conditioning. All libraries and universities are closed so I cant go there. Shopping centers are quite noisy so cant really go there, although I have considered just going to some coffee shop.

However what I really need is a place thats open till late. I have thought about crown casino but I dont think they have tables (the food court is too noisy).

I have also thought about the airport but dont recall them having any tables (even small ones) and also the parking would be VERY expensive.

Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks!

Hi,

What about a park in the shade? there might be a breeze? Alot of people go to the movies on hot days for the air con, but I dont think that will work for study. A quiet Macdonalds perhaps?

Hey there,

I used to be a student myself in Melbourne, and during summer - gosh, totally understand what you mean. So hot and dry.

Anyways, why not ask your friends if they have places to crash for sometime to studying? They might offer help on that, as I think only libraries will suit your needs for such convenience.
