Hi,

Me and my fiance and planning on visiting Melbourne for New Year 2007-2008. - Any suggestions on what to do and where to be? Maybe something a bit different to just going to a bar.....any idea's?

WOW! sarah you are really planning ahead!



most people tend to gravitate toward the city fireworks for melbourne new years eve.



and if you are heading to the city then most of the entertainment is bars, restaurants etc.



quite a few people do cruises on the Yarra River. That would be something a bit special i guess. Or maybe you could consider going to one of the wineries in the Yarra Valley or on the Mornington Peninsula.



if you are brave you might consider hot air ballooning over Melbourne? though that is usually done in the morning i believe.

We are having to plan ahead as wanting to get flights sorted etc.....



May try the cruise, sounds great, then a bar or something
