Site Upgraded - glen - 23-05-2013

Hi everyone, just to let you know I just completed a site upgrade so it should fix a few bugs including the problem we had with the quick reply box at the bottom of a topic (which did not update the page after you clicked add reply).

Cheers, Glen

Glen is it possible to send a pvt on the site these days. How?

Yes that is a personal message. You either go here: http://www.melbournechat.org/index.php?app=members&module=messaging and then click on "compose new"

Or alternatively you click on a person's profile and then click on "Send me a message".

Glen the problem with the site these days has nothing to do with forum members, tiffs, poor organization etc etc. You have done a great job but personally I am seeing forums die all over the place.

I do think the old left minded people I loved chatting with (including me) were driven away by a right wing group with a clear agenda being no lefties wanted here.

But that is merely a tiny side issue.

But the real reason is that forums have had their day. Not sure why maybe twitter and face book have taken over.

I look here and I see a brief comment by some one of the right. A few quaint esoteric IN jokes and a reminder of how awful all the ALP people are.

Its hardly great reading.

Glen you on the other hand have done a great job but I think its time to close the forums, they are well past the used by date.

Well the other people you speak of have gone... as always you miss the point.
