12 Week Clinical Trial Investigating A Novel Treatment For Men With Schizophrenia - Research_Nurse - 26-09-2019 The Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre, located in Melbourne and headed by Professor of Psychiatry Jayashri Kulkarni A.M. is seeking men aged between 18-65 with a diagnosis of schizophrenia OR schizo affective disorder to participate in a 12 week study evaluating the effects of a well known drug on the symptoms of schizophrenia.   The drug, we are investigating is called bazedoxifene and is a type of estrogen widely used to protect post-menopausal women from complications of menopause such as loss of bone density.
