Attention All Surfers!!!!!! - smiteme - 22-07-2010 DUUUDESSSSS!!!!! So where can you go for a surf near Melbourne? and i mean within an half an hour of the City Centre? I've goggled this before an cannot find any decent information or surfing spot tips. Either the surfers can't use computers or are smoking it up(can't say i blame them). You will have to drive out west for a couple of hours before you hit decent wave. I know a fellow, a regular surfer that lives out ocean grove way that might know of the best strip of beach to surf closest to Melbourne but like i said, don't like you chances of finding a decent wave inside thirty minutes of Melbourne. You would be looking at at least an hours drive before finding even a moderate swell if any.
