It helps - a little, meanwhile I detect a growing sense of optimism in the country showing in economic growth - good indicators for wage and jobs growth.

Well Done Conservatives - POWERZONE - 08-09-2017

Problem is people are running out of money.

Bottom graph is the savings rate. People are spending more than they are saving because their wages aren't keeping up with the cost of living.

So in real terms they're going backwards.

GST to be removed from digital currencies

The federal government has introduced draft laws that will make sure Australians aren't charged GST when they buy digital currencies.

Australian Associated PressSeptember 14, 201710:05am

Australians won't have to pay GST when they buy digital currencies such as Bitcoin under proposed new laws.

Treasurer Scott Morrison, in introducing legislation to parliament on Thursday, said consumers right now can effectively be taxed twice - first when they buy the electronic money, and again if they use it on items subject to the GST.

"The current GST treatment of digital currency is an obstacle to the growth of the financial technology industry in Australia," he told MPs.

Well done conservatives - Jobs and Growth - that's the go!

SSM and Dual citizenship is all smoke and mirrors. Real growth - that's where the growth in wages will come from - a bigger pie can be divided a lot more equitably than fighting for a smaller portion of a smaller pie.

Well Done Conservatives - POWERZONE - 14-09-2017

That's very nice... now all we have to do is have an early election to change the Govt and accelerate the growth Smile

So what happens next month when Holden shuts down as a direct result of this Conservative Govt ?

Jobs will be lost, that's what. Well done Conservatives.

Better still, well done state Govts for the nation building projects that created the jobs in the first place.

Is it just me or did the ALP actually preside over several car manufacturing shut downs?

That couldnt be right could it?

If the ALP were held accountable for it the LNP can expect the same treatment.

I was against the Button plan from the start.

Well Done Conservatives - Aloysius - 12-10-2017

That's very even handed but the logic is flawed - if the Button plan was flawed the subsequent demise was cast from the start.

Hmm we have your prediction on the one hand that jobs will be lost in a particular industry - coddled for years - and the other hand we have headlines that speak of the fact that more folks are getting jobs - funny that!

Well done government!

I didn't say it was flawed - I just didn't agree with it that's all.

It had little to do with Holden closing anyway. With the success of the VT Commodore and Monaro In the late 90's they were turning over large profits and exporting large vehicle volumes.

The rot started with the VE when they failed to adjust away from big thirsty cars to smaller, more fuel efficient cars.

Their closure announcement prompted Toyota to follow suit.

The closures were attributed to the Abbott Govt's withdrawl of funding.

Whether people agree with these decisions or not isn't the point.

The original point is jobs were lost as a direct result of the Govt of the day.

You keep saying "well done government" why?

What "jobs" did they create that weren't created by state Govts and the private sector?

If you want to blame government for bad results why not say well done if the opposite happens?

Huh?

Read you own posts mon ami???

Hint - Job losses.

Well Done Conservatives - POWERZONE - 19-10-2017

They are responsible for job losses - correct.

Because that was their policy.. to shut down the entire car industry and the third party jobs that serviced it.

That doesn't mean they are responsible for job gains. How do you gain jobs from shutting down industry?

That's a bit like saying the kid that burnt down a house should be rewarded for another one built across the road.

Anyway September figures are 5.5% as reported today. Well done Russian Government!

October figures are the ones I'm looking for.

Well Done Conservatives - Aloysius - 20-10-2017

yeah well I'll just stick with the data thanx!

your convoluted argument makes very little real sense at all.

Industries rise and fall - it's quite normal - clearly the car industry - to use your own arguments was a flawed industry  - largely subsidised for political reasons.

http://www.smh.com.au/business/the-economy/unemployment-falls-to-55-in-september-20171019-gz3wvp.html

""Full-time employment has now increased by around 271,000 persons since September 2016, and makes up the majority of the 335,000 person net increase in employment over the period."

Well done Conservatives!!  :dance:Â
