greetinsg everyone.

I did not know you guys were still going.

Well I have to say last night we saw history being made.

What a brilliant result for Daniel Andrews.

I have little faith in Australians at times but boy oh boy...I had to really eat my words.

Despite a huge enormous right wing press with a distorted view of Daniel Andrews and a bias on radio like 3AW and the utterly ghastly Sky News I thought Astralians would fall for it.

I guess Victorians are not stupid.

The real reason Daniel Andrews won is because he has been almost devoid of flawes as a Premier. He is in my opinion the best Premier we have had since  the remarkable #### Hamer (proof I am not biased, he was a Liberal).

Andrews put forward geat policies. Infrastructure impoved enormously, jobs flowed. The economy is brilliant and rail hospitals are brilliantl being devloped. Forgt debt keep going. We can afford it.

I have personal stories of three lives saved by the sfe schools program

I think the stpupidity of the Liberals not supporting safe shools mant a loss of votes.

I hve several Lib friends who chnged their vote.

Of course even though its a stat issue Libs like Abbot are destroying this once great prty.

Been a while folks. Eye sight average.

Hope not too many typos,

Hello GG.
I am glad you are well enough and able to post.
As you say the people of Vic have spoken, even the skyrail protestors, now love their skyline.
You are right people dont care about debt, are just interested in "what can I get out of this".
The once great liberal party is finished.
They will not recover in my lifetime!
OK so now the election is over the police will reopen the investigation into the 20 labor MPs under cloud in the Red Shirts rorts. NOT!
What was that all about again? Oh a few thousands of public money funding the previous labor campaign, then the $1mill keeping it secret from the public. I guess that doan matter enymore!
And...
And...
So many things, doan matter anymore...
And I doan care anymore I am going to join the I have my hand out queue. Debt, me too I doan give a fukc.
What about my grand kids having to pay the ferryman?
I doan give a fdukc as they have listened to their green loving teachers and swallowed their BS hook line and sinker.
And yes I am sour, but as they say in the classics: Bring on the debt, debt is good, Greece here we come!

This Tony Abbott experiment is getting more and more expensive.

Make no mistake - the Conservatives have destroyed the Liberal Party in the 21st century.

Ah PZ.

People in Vic don't remember yesterday, much less when Abbott was the man.
From todays Herald Sun, this is a short list of what people have forgotten about Dan the man. (A short list).

Yep roll on the Greece of Australia.
My grand kids will have to pay the ferryman and rightly so as they voted for the free lunches.

Sorry Peter but...

after undermining his own party for 3 years Tony Abbott was instrumental in taking down the Turnbull Govt and turning the Liberal Party into a toxic waste dump. Every time the Libs lose a by election or a state election Tony Abbott's face is all over the place.

Unless he leaves parliament right now - he will cost the Coalition the next election.

PS > how does Labor selling off the Ports for ten billion equate to the Greece of Australia?

PPS > does that mean Liberal selling off the sewerage for 5 billion equate to the Greece of Australia too?

See? Another fed seat lost...

The Liberal Party has changed, largely due to the actions of the reactionary and regressive right wing who talk about and to themselves rather than listening to the people.

"To continue to put the people before the party and act in the nation's interest constructively, effective immediately, I will serve as a member of this House of Representatives as an independent representative.

"I intend to the government my assurance as to confidence and supply.

Hi Power Man.
Our treasurer Mr. Tim Pallas told us during the election that debt would approximately double.
He intended to get another $25 bill from somewhere. (Probably not Greece).
We all knew this before voting. (To his credit).
This is what the people want, bless them.
In the meantime the desal plant consumes almost $1 bill every two years for not one cent of use.
And...
And...
And the libs are fukced.
Oh we are all going to get half price solar panels, hey watch the base price of electical energy skyrocket then.

Hi Peter.

$25b debt at historically low interest rates for infrastructure that will be sold off by a future Liberal Govt for maybe 3 times the price. (that's probably how long it'll take for them to get back in)

Meanwhile the Andrews Govt has delivered budget surpluses for every year they've been in office.

To me, that just doesn't sound like that much of a problem

Hi Power

The new debt will double as he said from roughly 25b to 50b.
Using Vic Labor figures that will equal about 100b all up in four years time.
The daily interest we pay escapes me but it is huge.
All the infrastructure promised will be made, alas at twice the correct cost because nothing will happen until the "stop/go" flagmen and women are paid at $200g per year.

A surplus is smoke and mirrors no matter which party is in the stock.

When Mr. M. Guy proposed selling off the pooo pipes, my heart sank. I firmly believe infrastructure belongs to the people and need not run at a profit.

Possibly we will get a train toward the Melb Airport! Alas I believe is is heading via the Western suburbs, stopping all stations. Not direct North to the airport.
This will ensure that almost no one will use it. Thus satisfying the Airport Bus people and of course the most expensive parking cost of any airport in Aus will still have it's captive clients!

It is impossible to believe that such a corrupted government was re instated. People do not care about anyone except themselves.
What now? I just sit back and wait for the magic millions promised, to fall my way.

If I were a young man I would (like many) leave Vic.
Perhaps go to Tassie where they don’t care what's not on the birth certificate.
Greece still looks good, alas the language is too difficult!

But hey!
The great news of the election is that the bunch of asrallsGreens are just as fukcde!

Got a nice little story for you Peter :)

6 years ago the QLD Labor party lost the election with the worst defeat ever seen.

The LNP won 78 seats - Labor...  7 seats. Labor would never govern again...

... except they did. They won the very next election, and then the one after that.

There will definitely be a future Liberal government - it just won't be Matt Guy leading it.

Something for ScoMo to think about.

Just one thing. I'm not sure how Labor could run that debt to $100b in 4 years?

Ah Power Man!

Always the joker! Big difference re Labor v Libs. Labor has passion plus! Libs got no idea where they are.
Libs heartland just disappeared! Why? Their ratbag policy of importing people in huge numbers to feed giant taxes into federal coffers .
The problem is that all the imported tax payers now live in the leafy suburbs, BUT voted Labor! They know where their bread will be buttered.

Matty Guy just resigned.

The Labor blowout in debt towards $100b is because EVERY labor project is underfunded and under estimated by huge amounts.

ScoMo is not the answer federally.

I'd say the Libs are well and truly... Findexf.png KED :pacman:

LOl

Hi PZ

Peter dont worry the Libs will get back.

Most political parties suffer defeat and our two major parties get back.

No Prime Minister Premier is devoid of flaws.

There was much merit in John Howard but he had his critics including this one.

On the other hand Abbot had no virtues.

Total mess. Intellectually pathetic. He should crawl under a rock. Disappear.

Back to Daniel Andrews. Its impossible to really think of any thing he has done wrong.

He saved us from the illegal contract with the East West Link.

I do not understand why those behind this terrible contract were not jailed. Naive in an rea where our wild lif is being deciated. pthine has much to answer for. TERRIBLE.

I know Lawyers who looked at the East West Link and said the Libs were MAD.

The link itself may have been a good idea but ....

Back to Daniel Andrews.

Its been outstanding. Compassionate and intelligent. No flawes?. Yes there are a  few. I think we need population controlled. Wild life is being decimated and it breaks my heart.

HOWEVER

Jobs infrastructure and the economy booming.

We have discussed debt before. To me its simplistic. All good Governments have debt.

The only ones without debt are the ones that dont do anything.

Our economy in Victoria thanks to the brilliance of this Government can handle it. Indeed it will be a bonus.

AS for the children and their future the Libs dont give a stuff about the future. Without action on climate change you ay as well forget ANY future. I am optimistic that science will save the day.

Its wonderful the young are taking ation on climate change.

Its great most Liberals now want acion.

Peter the Liberals today are divided.

They must listen to the voters.

Years ago I remember people here being against science. Thats almost funny now.
