Hey all, writing to you from the Melbourne Chess Club located just off Brunswick St in Fitzroy. We're open 7 days a week and have about 160 members, but we're always looking for new people to come down and check us out. Our website is:

if you want a closer look! You can come by any time no matter what your level. If you know how to play a decent place to start might be Saturday afternoons at about 1.45pm. We have a casual event that happens every week starting at 2.
Email us at melbchessclub@gmail.com for any further info!

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Hi Roentarre,

We're a non-profit organisation but there are small fees (which are mostly given back as prizes) to keep the club running.

You can come and play socially any day of the week (we're open every day from around 5pm, weekends longer) and if you're a non-member it costs $5.

Otherwise you can come and play in one of our events such as the Saturday casual allegro tournament on Saturday at 2pm. The cost is $15 for a non-member or $10 for a member.

Membership prices for kids, adults etc are on our website under membership options:)

Cheers!
