In 2007, the event is moving to a new home – the MCG, and with new courses and distances on offer, its going to be a very exciting year!

There is something for all ages and levels of fitness, and we look forward to seeing everyone – from experienced runners to first timer “fun run” competitors, together with your family, friends and work colleagues on Sunday 7 October to help celebrate this iconic Melbourne event turning 30. The 4 events (42.195km, 21.1km, and new 10km & 5.5km distances) will all start and finish at the MCG – watch yourself finish on the big screen as you retrace Kerryn McCann’s 2006 Commonwealth Games win. The ‘G’ will turn into ‘Marathon Headquarters’ with plenty to do for competitors and family and friends. There will be an Expo, Cafes, Public catering outlets and Dining rooms. There will be plenty of room to watch all the action on the finish line and live vision on the big screens.

With a total of over AUD$20,000 in prize money and AUD$30,000 in prizes for the placegetters across all events, as well as random prize giveaways throughout the morning, there is great incentive to be part of the 30th Anniversary of this great Melbourne event.
