hi TITAN and welcome to the forum!

for anyone who does not know, LAN stands for Local Area Network. And it is basically a room full of computers where people go and pay to play computer games with (and against) their friends.

i thought LANs were falling in popularity due to the arrival of broadband? would that be a fair comment TITAN?

cheers, glen :)

Hey TITAN, What LANs are you playing at? Any links would be welcome. How much they charging you per hour? I used to go to a LAN in waverley but i think it shut down now cause everyone is at home playing on their supa dupa broad band...though i miss that loud dark room with all the broken keyboards :) wouldn't mind trying it again. what games are they playing these days? is it still just counter strike?

hey guys, see you are asking a few questions about gaming LANs.

i happen to LIVE for LAN gaming and I like to compete in the LAN comps. hope to go pro one day but i guess i am a dreamer like all the others.

the next upcoming comp in melbourne that I intend to go to is called Game1 and you can read about it here:

Melbourne Exhibition Centre
The 4th & 5th of November 2006

it should be a great event. some good prizes up for grabs.

Here is a list of my Favourite Gamer Sites.
I think these are the Best Gamer Websites for Australia:
