AAMI Melbourne Rebels, Melbourne Matches in 2007
2007 Mazda Australian Rugby Union Championship
The AAMI Melbourne Rebels kick off their season on 11 August taking on the might of teams from New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and ACT in a competition that will feature former, current and future Wallabies champions.
Led by Wallaby, David Croft, the AAMI Melbourne Rebels will be joined by Victorian bred Wallaby, Digby Ione and former Wallaby star, Matt Cockbain as well as a host of other Super 14 players and stars of the future.
Melbourne's first fully professional rugby team will excite with a fresh style of play and a rebellious streak that will set them apart.
The Rebels will play four matches at home in 2007. The Home Venue is Olympic Park Stadium.
