When Dorothy famously triumphed in Oz, we only ever heard one side of the story. Gregory Maguireâs 1995 novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, brings to life the captivating, surprising tale of how a misunderstood, green girl named Elphaba became âwickedâ but her unlikely friend, Glinda, became 'good'.
The exceptional creative team that has brought this captivating story to life on stage includes many of Broadwayâs most celebrated creative talent. When WICKED opened on Broadway, it worked its magic on critics and audiences alike and won 15 major awards including the Grammy ® and three Tony ® Awards.
