the word I heard from co-workers is Little Cupcakes in Degraves St is the place to go for cupcakes.

I have purchased cupcakes from Le Cake Stall, when they have had a stall at the North Melbourne Market. Really good choice of flavours, nice cake and amazing icing! They are really pretty too, good for an occasion and only $3.50ea. I think they take orders and do wedding cakes also.. www.cakestall.com.au
