I saw this on another forum and it's really interesting: song meanings
My favourite songs are: Glycerine, by Bush: "Glycerine is a chemical used in perfumes and medicines and also to preserve food. The title comes from the explosive applications of glycerine to stabilize nitro: in an interview Rossdale said the song was about how love was like a bomb. (thanks, james - calgary, Canada)"
* I actually thought that Glycerine was a lubricant and the song was about love slipping away!
And, Desperado, by The Eagles: "On the surface, this is about a cowboy who refuses to fall in love, but it could also be about a young man who discovers guitars, joins a band, pays his dues and suffers for his art. The stress of being a Rock Star is a recurring theme in Eagles music (e.g. "Life In The Fast Lane"). The overall theme is how you must suffer for your art. (thanks, Randy - Beaumont, TX)"
Yours?
No results on Faith No More's Evidence.
Really?! How disappointing. There's an awful lots of songs on there. I'm surprised. Try another one.
The Pink Floyd song facts are interesting.

I saw a Pink Floyd car the other day. It was just a normal car, a Ford of some description, but it had the Pink Floyd coloured spectrum design, that looks like lazers (not sure what album), painted on the side, and a brick wall on the back. Quite bizarre!
Sounds like a nice sight to behold.
There are a few cars on the roads of Geelong with some really nice artwork, nothing related to Pink Floyd though (that I have noticed).

The brick wall looked kinda weird. Interesting though.
Yeah, I can image bricks on a car would look odd considering there are bricks everywhere else around roads.
Not sure if this is the same, but probably!
Wow, very nice... and yeah, the brick wall is overkill.
Looks like there is some nice artwork on the hood too.
Yeah, they're just like a big block and they take over from the rest of the design. I see how they would want to include the bricks, but it could have been done better. Maybe if the bricks had some transparency, then they would be so overwhelming.
yeah, I totally agree.. at least 50% transparency on the bricks if not a great deal more--I wonder if applying transparency to physical artwork is very difficult or even possible.
Yeah, listen to me; telling the artist how to do their job when I actually don't know how they did it!
I guess I was thinking that it was airbrushed, which would mean that they would just spray a finer layer of paint? I don't even know anything about air brushing, but to me, it's a gradual build up of colour. Do you know?
I tried air brushing once. I remember blowing my nose afterwards in a rainbow of colours (depending on the colour of paint I was using). I think the ventilation system was not working very well!! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

I think you can make a thin layer of paint. Though when I did it we just painted on thick white paper so hard to say what happens on dark metallic surfaces <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

The last and only time I touched an air brush was in a compulsory arts class at High School over 18 years ago so I really have little clue of what can and can't be done, especially on a car's (normally reflective) surface.

Cool! Rainbow snot!
I had a similar situation as a jeweller many years ago... my boss used to joke that I could retire on the contents of my snot.
Woah! Good idea. Just do a bushmans blow into a sieve.
That car would look better if it had black wheels with that paint scheme.
I agree PZ! Maybe they spent all there money on the paint...Forgot to get some nice wheels! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
