Hi all, I am looking for some suggestions for a good dinner and dance restaurant/venue. Dont want a nightclub type of place, maybe a quality pub but preferably a restaurant. Just a nice venue with good food, good atmosphere and a good band that plays covers or a DJ. Like good food and to dance. The more recommendations the better as we like to try lots of different places.

I liked The Night Cat (Friday nights was Jazz Club Night) [url="http://www.thenightcat.com.au/"]http://www.thenightcat.com.au/[/url] back in my party days, there are a bunch of Latin bars on Johnston Street Fitzroy that have a really nice atmosphere.
Anywhere from the City out towards the East, North East or South East
If you like Chinese food head to Box Hill. I went to one called Raman King a few days back and they have some nice noodle soup and pork/chive dumplings!
