Call me nuts, but I met a guy from Melbourne 2 years ago...His name is Aleksandar,he was born Melbourne in 1985., his family moved from Banja Luka (a town in Bosnia and Herzegovina)...I'm not stalking him, he doesn't owe me money, I just liked him. Hope nobody will tell me he's marriedSmile
Sounds like a pretty unusual name. Did you try finding him on myspace or facebook?
There are hundreds of Aleksandars on Facebook, I never tried checking all of them, plus his name could be spelled Alexander since he was born in Australia, and he has a nickname Aco, which is a nickname of pretty much every Aleksandar I knowSad
ah ok. well maybe you could searching by age since you have the birth year.

i think we need more info otherwise we won't be able to be of much help.
He was about to finish med school...I think his birthday was in late June (none of this was helpful at facebook)...had a t-shirt I (a heart for love) Melbourne... a tatoo of the cross on his right shoulder (####, what if it was a fake one)... green eyes, dark hair... said he used to compete in Melbourne shuffle... a cute accent-but all of you Aussies do...
hahaha. now we are cooking

if he is a doctor that does narrow it down.

type in his name and you are getting closer!
You really don't waste time! Thanks! I'll search the link you gave me, in the meantime, my Alex didn't live in the centre of Melbourne but in a suburb (no idea in which one), travelled a lot and spoke Swahili (he spoke something, I don't know was it really Swahili, but it was an exotic language).
I went through all the names (even the unlikely combinations with Asian surnames, for example), crossreferenced the dates of initial practice, checked the cancelled medical practitioners - nothing.

He has one of those surnames ending in -ic (I think).
emmm i know someone with an "ic" surname but it is a lady so no help there! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />
Yeah, my guy probably didn't turn into your lady <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

Too bad, i'd really like to get in touch with him

He said he once bought a sack full of apples for some hungry people somewhere in Africa - is there anyone who recognizes the story? Or knows an Alex who tells stories like that?
P.S. I'm thinking about moving to Australia, I've seen a site liveniaustralia, it says they can help speed up the process of gaining visa and all the necessary papers. Any idea do they exist or it's an online joke?
No idea. I would start with the government websites since they will be more trust worthy i think <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />
Exactly what I'm doing <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

There is one more person I'm trying to find, her name is Julie Kos, she was born in Melbourne and still lives there. On the Facebook search I got several Julies but when I narrowed the search to a certain region - no matches found. I know she lives there. She's 27 or 28.
I guess you tried doing a google search for:

"Julie Kos" melbourne

???
