Can you believe that they're going to completely demolish the heritage listed Lonsdale House, a one of a kind art deco skyscraper to widen a delivery lane for trucks ???



They won't even save the facade which is complete ######.



Lonsdale House was on the cover of the book Melbourne Art Deco and was the centrepiece of the Art Deco exhibition at the National Gallery last year.







You'd think it was the 1960s again with this sort of madness !

HUH?... I thought the main point of heritage listing a property is protection from any alterations.
