For years we drove past the turn off on the Calder Highway near the Calder Race Track to the Organ Pipes National Park.

The Organ Pipes are a rather impressive rock formation and the setting is just beautiful with a running cree. The walk down is pretty easy with lots of lovely bird life such a blue wrens and you might be lucky to spot an echidna or a kangaroo.

Just remember as you walk down you are going to have a walk up as well.

Still its well worth it and do see the tessellated pavement.

Its really a surprise...Peter I had never been there and took some Chinese friends and they loved it.

Amazing it just a few miles away from city.
